This reissue of the 1971 album from the British Prog rockers is presented on heavyweight 180g vinyl.  "In Hearing of" was the band's third album and included vocalist Peter French on some tracks.  Featuring the Melodically beautiful "Decision/Indecision" featured in the show Ashes to Ashes.  The rest of the lineup has the excellent John Cann on guitar and Paul Hammond on drums. Among the eight original tracks are such amusing titles as 'A Spoonful of Bromide Helps the Pulse Rate Go Down', which typified Vincent Crane's nervy sense of humor. But the musicianship ensured that Atomic Rooster albums were taken very seriously by fans and in Hearing of has been hailed as an essential Prog Rock Classic. Repertoire.

Arguably Atomic Rooster’s most consistent album, it featured – most curiously, given that he wasn’t actually in the band at this stage – four co-writes between Vince and Ric Parnell. Musically, it was an exquisite, flab-free blend of Crane’s inimitable piano motifs and soulful grooves with Cann’s muscular riffing, Hammond’s perhaps surprisingly funky drumming and French’s magnificent, quintessentially English rock voice – a blend that would remain sadly unrepeated on record and underexposed in concert.
