As the long-awaited follow-up to one of the most celebrated and influential albums in British dance history, Leftfield’s 1999 sophomore effort ‘Rhythm And Stealth’ was on a hiding to nothing in many ways. It was, however, an immaculately produced listening experience best consumed via headphones, and produced the UK Top Ten hit ‘Afrika Shox’ (featuring the iconic hip-hop pioneer Afrika Bambaataa) plus the Roots Manuva-featuring single ‘Dusted’ and the wonderful ‘Swords’.

Rhythm and Stealth is the second studio album by Leftfield (Neil Barnes and Paul Daley), originally released on 20 September 1999. It reached number 1 on the UK Albums Chart, featuring the single Phat Planet, critics described the album as having a grace and mastery of production seldom seen in the dance world. Pressed on black vinyl.  It was nominated for the 2000 Mercury Music Prize.

John Bush of AllMusic said, "Leftfield has moved on with a grace and mastery of production seldom seen in the dance world." NME named it the 24th best album of 1999.
