Originally released in 1999, Post Orgasmic Chill is Skunk Anansie's most commercially successful album and peaked at number 16 in the charts.  The album kicks off with the anthemic "Charlie Big Potato" before taking you on a musical roller-coaster.  The band had the fortune of having the esteemed Andy Wallace produce the album, who, that same year worked on Foo Fighters' There's Nothing Left To Lose and Feeder's Yesterday Went To Soon and is famous for having mixed Nirvana's Nevermind album - so we're talking a top tier talent. The album ranges from frenetic punk ('On My Hotel TV') to lush evocative string-laden ballads with vocal acrobatics ('Secretly') and manic Jane's Addiction-esque art rock '(And This Is Nothing That I Thought I Had') to the relatively stripped back and tender ('I'm Not Afraid'). Seemingly capable of just about anything musically, there's so much power in this even more than quarter of a century on from first release.
